GripTails

The short version. GripTails has no accounts and asks for nothing about you. Every level plays offline. The only thing that leaves your device is your leaderboard entry — a nickname the game picked from a word list, and how far you have climbed. The app also measures how the game is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and there is nothing to buy.

We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, or location. The app has no sign-up form and no login. What it does collect is listed here in full.

We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission and we do not read the IDFA on iOS. The app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Your progress — levels cleared, stars, gems, hints, items you own and your daily streak — is stored on the device itself and is never uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes it. The one exception is your leaderboard entry, described above: your nickname and the distance you have climbed this month are sent to the ranking so other players can see them. Your lifetime total is not — that number never leaves the device. Nothing else about you is stored on a server.
The app gives you a nickname when you first play, assembled from a list of adjectives and animals. You may replace it with one of your own, twice. A nickname is limited to 14 letters, numbers and spaces, and is checked against a list of words we do not allow; names that fail are refused when you enter them and again on our servers, so an edited copy of the app cannot get one onto the board.
Please do not use your real name. Your nickname is shown publicly on the leaderboard to every other player. Nothing else about you is, and the app never asks for your real name anywhere.
If you see a nickname that should not be there, write to support@nextad.ai with the name and we will remove it. The leaderboard is the only place in GripTails where one player can see anything another player wrote — there is no chat, no messaging and no way for players to contact each other.
Every level plays with no connection at all. There is no multiplayer — you never play against anyone, and nobody can contact you through the game. The leaderboard is the only online part: it is a read-only list of nicknames and climb totals, with no chat and no messaging. With no connection the app shows the last ranking it downloaded, labelled with when that was, and says so underneath the list — so you always know whether you are looking at a live board or an old one. Nothing on the leaderboard is invented; every name on it belongs to a real player.
GripTails is suitable for all ages and collects nothing that identifies a person. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The leaderboard nickname is the one field a player fills in themselves; it is filtered, it is not required to be anything real, and we ask players not to use their own name. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information — including as a nickname — write to support@nextad.ai and we will delete it.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The processors named above handle data on our instructions only: Google (Firebase — Analytics, Authentication and Cloud Firestore) and Adjust. Your nickname and this month's climb are visible to other players on the leaderboard; nothing else you do in the game is.
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on your device. Because the anonymous ID behind your leaderboard row lives on the device too, uninstalling also orphans that row — reinstalling gives you a new one and a fresh start rather than your old entry. To have your leaderboard entry removed, or the analytics events associated with your device deleted, write to support@nextad.ai from any address, say which platform you played on and (for the leaderboard) the nickname shown on your profile card; we will delete them within 30 days. We also remove any nickname reported to us as offensive. You do not need an account to ask, because there are no accounts.
